Florida State Seminoles are hoping to land four-star running back Brayden Tyson, who will announce his commitment on May 15.
The Seminoles have been pursuing Tyson for over two years, and the coaching change from David Johnson to Kam Martin hasn't impacted their interest.
Tyson has already visited FSU three times this year, including a trip in April to watch a spring practice.
Tyson recorded 163 carries for 1,292 yards and 16 touchdowns in his junior season at Brookwood High School.
He rushed for 100+ yards in seven games, including a season-high 19 carries for 210 yards and four touchdowns.
The Seminoles will face New Mexico State Aggies on August 29, 2026, but for now, they're focused on recruiting.
Tyson is regarded as the No. 356 overall prospect, the No. 23 ATH, and the No. 38 recruit in Georgia in the 2027 class.
Florida State holds six verbal commitments in #Tribe27, which ranks No. 41 in the country.
The Seminoles are also monitoring targets such as four-star Gary Walker, three-star Asa Barnes, and three-star Kelsey Gerald.
And with the summer weather picking up in Tallahassee, the Seminoles are looking to make moves on the recruiting trail.
But the competition is fierce, with Purdue, Rutgers, and South Carolina also in the mix for Tyson's commitment.
So the Seminoles will have to wait until May 15 to see if their efforts pay off.
Tyson's commitment will be a significant boost to the Seminoles' recruiting class.
The Seminoles have a strong roster, with players like Tre Wisner, Samuel Singleton Jr., and Gemari Sands.
But they're always looking to add talented players like Tyson to their team.
